How is cognitive behavioral therapy applied?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is applied through AI (OpenAI) using advanced algorithms designed to help people analyze their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through Today Last Year, you can enter daily reflections. The AI analyzes these reflections to identify patterns in thoughts and behaviors. Subsequently, Today Last Year provides suggestions for alternative, more positive ways of thinking. This option is off by default and can be enabled in the settings.

Is Today Last Year completely anonymous?

Your reflections are accessible only to you and are not intended to be shared. For this reason, Today Last Year also does not offer (social) sharing options. We do not sell personal information or reflections. Your data is used solely to generate anonymous feedback (responses) with AI (OpenAI). This option is off by default and can only be activated by you. Be cautious when sharing sensitive information because OpenAI cannot guarantee that these data will not be included in the LLM.

Is Today Last Year a substitute for a therapist?

We can generate daily feedback on your reflections and emotions using AI (OpenAI). However, AI cannot provide personalized therapy, crisis intervention, or diagnosis of mental health conditions. AI is also prone to making errors. It is important to be critical of every response to a reflection. We recommend using the response function as a supplement, not as a replacement for therapy sessions. Discuss any insights or questions arising from the response to reflections with your therapist.
